Eagles

Eagles OC Sean Mannion assured everyone that their offensive plans would continue to include the tush push as long as it continues to be extremely effective and can be executed well.

“It’s gonna be a part of what we do,” Mannion said. “It’s been an extremely effective play here. We’re going to lean into that. It’s something this organization has executed at a high level. So along with many other elements to our offense, certainly, it’s something that will be a part of it.”

• Eagles RT Lane Johnson on considering retirement in 2025 and forging ahead for what is likely his final season in 2026: “I thought about it last year, really. Lots of conversations with my family, my kids. My oldest is turning 13 in a few days. It’s hard to get time back, especially those years, I feel are very pivotal. It’ll be a fun transition. But as far as my focus is on here with the Eagles, playing, I still feel like I can be a premier tackle in this league.” (Berman)

Giants

Giants CB Deonte Banks enters the fourth year of his career and hasn’t recorded an interception since his rookie season in 2023. New York DC Dennard Wilson said he’s been impressed by Banks this offseason and is in a “different headspace” going into 2026. 

“I think he had a helluva offseason. Tae has been one of those guys that’s kind of been running to coaching. He’s not running away from it. He’s in a different headspace. I think he’s enjoying the scheme. I think the players want to see him have success. We as coaches want him to be the best version of him. To me it’s not living up to the first[-round] pick. It’s about him being the best player he can be. He knows that we’re invested him, just like all the other players. He has a new opportunity, and he has to make the best of his opportunity,” Wilson said, via Steve Serby of the New York Post. 

As for whether Banks will be their No. 2 cornerback this season, Wilson called it an “open competition.”

“It’s open competition in that room,” Wilson said. “All of them have an opportunity.”

Regarding second-round CB Colton Hood, Wilson has been impressed with his toughness, ball skills, and intelligence. 

“He loves football. He’s a tough guy. Outstanding ball skills. Ultra-competitive, intelligent football player,” Wilson said.
