Buccaneers DT Vita Vea appears to be sitting out amid his recent trade request, but HC Todd Bowles remains unconcerned at this point in the offseason.

“Again, it’s still early,” Bowles said in a press conference. “We’ve only been in pads for two days. We’re not concerned at this point and I think those things take care of themselves. Once you get past two or three preseason games, you start to worry a little bit.”

Falcons

• Falcons HC Kevin Stefanski said S Jessie Bates won’t return to full practice yet but is on the right track. He clarified Bates isn’t out due to contractual reasons: “It’s a low back. Going to be smart with this obviously.” (Josh Kendall)
• Stefanski mentioned they don’t have a timeline for naming a starting QB: “Obviously, we will get to that point when we feel it’s necessary.” (Kendall)
