NFC West Notes: 49ers, Cardinals, Seahawks

49ers

An NFL scout tells Matt Miller that the 49ers are taking Ohio State DE Nick Bosa if he’s available to them at No. 2 overall.

“Don’t overthink this s–t. If [Nick] Bosa is on the board, the Niners are picking Bosa,” the scout said.

Cardinals

Matt Miller of B/R spoke with an AFC executive who told him this week that the Cardinals have received at least two offers for QB Josh Rosen, but they are looking to “save face” and get as close to a first-round pick as possible.

“They’re hoping the closer to the draft we get, some team is going to realize they will miss out on [Dwayne] Haskins or [Drew] Lock … or just remember that Rosen is better than either of them … and pony up a late first-rounder,” the executive tells Miller.

According to Miller, Kyler Murray will be the Cardinals pick at No. 1 overall, barring a last-minute change from team president Michael Bidwill.

Seahawks

  • Ian Rapoport mentions that Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence‘s $21 million annual salary means Seahawks DE Frank Clark, who is currently under the franchise tag, will demand “at least” $20 million per year in future contract negotiations.
  • Washington LB Tevis Bartlett will participate in the Seahawks’ local prospect day on April 15. (Eric Edholm)
  • Bob Condotta reports that WSU LB Peyton Pelluer will also be in attendance for the Seahawks’ local pro day.
