NFC West Notes: 49ers, Rams, Seahawks

49ers

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan says he’s not worried about using another first-round pick on a defensive lineman.

“You can never have too [many] D-linemen,” Shanahan said, via ESPN’s Nick Wagoner. “They are very hard to find. And when you get guys who are difference-makers, those guys can change the game as much as anyone just on their own by rushing the passer.”

  • 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin says he plans to try to compete in the 2020 Olympics, per Pro Football Talk.
  • Goodwin competed for the U.S. in the long jump in the 2012 Olympics and finished 10th. He did not qualify for the Games in 2016.
  • Maryland OL Brendan Moore worked out privately for the 49ers. (Aaron Wilson)
