NFL News: Packers Re-sign A.J. Hawk For Five Years

TMJ 4 Milwaukee is reporting that the Green Bay Packers have reached an agreement with A.J. Hawk that will keep him in Green Bay for another five-years. The specifics of the deal aren’t known at this time but we’ll have updates as they are available.

Hawk reportedly never considered talking with other teams despite being cut earlier this afternoon. This could whined up being bad news for Nick Barnett who is set to make $5.5 million in 2011. Green Bay already has several linebackers under contract which could make Barnett the most expendable.
