49ers

• Matt Barrows writes that 49ers’ first-round DE DeForest Buckner is now working with the first-team defense after beginning with the third team this offseason.
• Barrows also notes that first-round OL Joshua Garnett and RT Anthony Davis have mostly worked with the second team so far.
• However, Barrows believes both Garnett and Davis could start Week 1 of the regular season.
• The 49ers removed S Jaquiski Tartt (leg) from their NFI list.

Broncos

• Cameron Wolfe of The Denver Post writes that Broncos HC Gary Kubiak “hasn’t even come close” to naming the team’s starting quarterback.

Lions

• According to Dave Birkett, the Lions haven’t reached out to some of the top remaining free agent tight ends following TE Eric Ebron‘s Achilles’ injury.

Patriots

• Patriots WR Julian Edelman is off the team’s PUP list and has returned to practice on Sunday. (Ian Rapoport)
