Aldon Smith

• ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that 49ers OLB Aldon Smith will not have his nine-game suspension reduced this week which means he’s out for Week 10’s game.

Eagles

• G Todd Herremans (torn biceps) will undergo season-ending surgery, and be placed on injured reserve. (Jeff McLane)
• The Eagles will activate G Evan Mathis from the injured reserve list.

Redskins

• The Redskins worked out 14 players including: QB Terrelle Pryor, RB Jeff Demps, RB Tim Hightower, TE Chase Dixon, TE D.C. Jefferson, DB Ahmad Black, DT Lanier Coleman, OT Chris Faulk, TE Tyler George, G Maurice Hurt, DE Donte Paige-Moss, NT Justin Renfroe, and DB Nickoe Whitley.
