Browns

Browns DC Ray Horton said he is not worried about his job security after reports surfaced in recent weeks claiming he is on the hot seat.

“I don’t live that way, I don’t want my kids to live that way and I don’t want my players to live that way,” said Horton, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “I would think, ‘man, what an awful life if you have to worry all the time about stuff.’ You do the best job you can in life with what you have, meaning personally. Do I worry that way? I think you guys know me very well. I try to be very honest and very fair. I don’t live that way.”

Eagles

• Eagles HC Doug Pederson has ruled out RB Ryan Mathews (knee) from Sunday’s game. (Tim McManus)

Lions

• Michael Rothstein of ESPN thinks fourth-round S Miles Killebrew‘s backup defensive role should remain the same for now due to his lack of coverage skills.

Patriots

• Dianna Russini reports that the Patriots are planning on QB Tom Brady (knee) playing this week, but he will be a game-time decision on Sunday.
• Russini also reports that TE Rob Gronkowski (chest) will be a “true game-time decision”, but has made “a lot of progress” within the last 48 hours.

Vikings

• Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports the Vikings are hopeful that both C Joe Berger (concussion) and OT Jeremiah Sirles (hip) could return for Week 13’s Thursday night game.
