NFL Notes: Buccaneers, Falcons, Jets, Steelers, Titans

Buccaneers

  • Buccaneers signed DE George Uko to their practice squad.
  • Buccaneers released P Jacob Schum from their practice squad.

Falcons

Jets

Seth Walder of the New York Daily News takes a look at some players on the Jets who may not be back with the team next year if they make changes to their GM and head coaching positions.

  • Walder writes that WR Percy Harvin’s status with the Jets beyond this season is “not assured.”
  • According to Walder, ILB David Harris, from a value-for-money perspective, “does not provide the impact his compensation suggests.
  • Walder believed the “Geno Smith experiment” is “just about over.
  • Interestingly enough, Walder mentions that even though Jets will be looking for a long-term option at the quarterback position, they could keep veteran Michael Vick around as a stopgap.

Steelers

  • Steelers signed RB LaDarius Perkins to their practice squad.

Titans

  • RB Shonn Greene‘s court case for multiple traffic violations has been continued until January 6. (Jim Wyatt)
