NFL Notes: Chiefs, Cowboys, & Eagles

Chiefs

The Kansas Chiefs have moved De’Anthony Thomas from running back to wide receiver.

“It makes me more valuable to the offense,” Thomas said, via Adam Teicher of ESPN. “It lets defenses look for me, see where I’m at on the field. It just gives them a different look. I believe it’s a great thing.”

Cowboys

Cowboys LB Sean Lee (knee) expects to be a “full-go” for the start of training camp.

โ€œI think Iโ€™m ready to go, full go,โ€ Lee said Wednesday, via DallasCowboys.com. โ€œIf Iโ€™m out there doing a drill or any part of practice, I feel completely comfortable. I feel like I could play again tomorrow if need be.

โ€œI think anytime with an injury, you never want to skip a step in the progression. You always want to progress properly and thatโ€™s what theyโ€™re doing for me.โ€

Eagles

According to Eagles OC Patย Shurmur, running backs DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews will split carries in 2015.

โ€œTheyโ€™re two really fine players,โ€ Shurmur said, via the Delaware County Times. โ€œTheyโ€™re two guys that have been starters in places that theyโ€™ve been and theyโ€™re going to come here and kind of share the role. I think thatโ€™s terrific that thatโ€™s their mindset. It shows us that youโ€™ve got really, really fine players that understand itโ€™s important to be a good teammate. Any time you can add good players to a unit you make yourself better because you need more than one to play the year.โ€
