NFL Notes: Chiefs, Giants, Jets, Ravens, Texans & Vikings

Chiefs

• According to Ed Werder, RB Charcandrick West‘s performance in his first game as the starting running back was enough to convince HC Andy Reid that he’s capable of handling the starting role moving forward.

Giants

• Jordan Raanan of the Newark Star-Ledger has “serious doubts” in Jason Pierre-Paul (hand) recovering from his July 4 fireworks incident in-time to play this season.

Jets

• According to Ian Rapoport, RB Stevan Ridley will be inactive for Week 7, as he is still recovering from an ACL tear he sustained last season.

Ravens

• The Ravens officially ruled out rookie TE Maxx Williams and WR Breshad Perriman for Monday’s game.
• Ravens S Kendrick Lewis and CB Lardarius Webb are both questionable to play.

Texans

• According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans asked the NFL to be one of the team’s featured in a Mexico City game, either next year or 2017.

Vikings

• The Vikings downgraded RB Adrian Peterson (illness) to questionable for Sunday’s game.
