  • Cowboys executive VP Stephen Jones mentioned on “Mike and Mike” Wednesday morning that they are prepared for second-round LB Jaylon Smith to sit out the entire 2016 season. (Jason Romano)

Packers

  • According to Peter King of TheMMQB.com, the Packers had a chance to trade with the Cowboys at the backend of round one.
  • King reports that Cowboys VP Stephen Jones spoke with Packers executive Alonzo Highsmith and offered them picks No. 34 and No. 101 overall for the Packers’ 27th overall selection.
  • However, the Packers didn’t want to take the risk of losing UCLA DT Kenny Clark by moving down the board seven spots.

Titans

Vikings

  • Darren Wolfson reports that the Vikings have completed a contract for sixth-round TE David Morgan, and he’s expected to sign the agreement on Thursday.
