Darren Sharper

Former NFL S Darren Sharper was charged along with two other men on Friday in a nine-count grand jury indictment stemming from multiple rape allegations in New Orleans, according to Ken Daley.

Sharper was indicted on two counts of aggravated rape and a simple rape of a different woman. He faces life in prison without the possibility of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer wonders if the Eagles should consider trading up for Oregon QB Marcus Mariota in next year’s draft as HC Chip Kelly has made it clear that he’s very high on his potential.

“He’s a special player, and he’s just got a gift for playing football,” Kelly said on Thursday. “He’s everything you want. He can throw the ball. He can run. He’s the most talented kid I coached in college.
