NFL Notes: Draft, Bears, Cowboys, & Jets

Draft

• UCLA LB Eric Kendricks has drawn pre-draft interest from the Colts, Buccaneers, Cowboys and Panthers. (NFL.com)
• Ian Rapoport reports that NFL teams are now digging into Florida OT D.J. Humphries, who has has 10 private workouts and visits with nine of the top 30 teams.
• Maryland WR Stefon Diggs said he’s had “steady interest” from the Ravens. (Aaron Wilson)
• Maryland WR Deon Long said he plans to attend the Ravens’ prospect day and has drawn interest from the Bears and Panthers thus far. (Aaron Wilson)
• Maryland DT Darius Kilgo mentioned that he has visited with the Packers and Dolphins and will meet with the Bengals, Panthers, and Patriots. (Aaron Wilson)
• Texas Southern DB Trey Walker will be visiting with the Raiders on Thursday. (Tony Pauline)
• Aaron Wilson reports that Florida State WR Christian Green is working out privately on Thursday for the Eagles.

Bears

• The Bears announced the release S Anthony Walters on Thursday.

Cowboys

• Tony Pauline reports that the Cowboys will bring in Mississippi State LB Benardrick McKinney for a visit next week.

Jets

• Jets GM Mike Maccagnan told season ticket holders that they plan to draft the best available player. (Rich Cimini)
• On the subject of locking up DE Muhammad Wilkerson, Maccagnan said: “We’d obviously like to keep him a Jet.” (Rich Cimini)
• New Jets HC Todd Bowles said that they are hoping to add another quarterback to compete with Geno Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Matt Simms. (Rich Cimini)
