NFL Notes: Draft, Jets, Panthers, Titans

Draft

While hardly surprising, opinions from NFL evaluators are mixed regarding Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield, writes Matt Miller of B/R.

Four months ago I thought he was a Day 3 pick, ” an AFC player personnel director tells Miller. “Watch the Ohio State game and you’ll see an NFL-caliber quarterback. I’d take him in the first round. I love the kid.

“The immaturity is gonna be an issue,” an AFC area scout said. “So will the hand size, speed and his body type. I still think he’s probably a Round 3 kid.
