NFL Notes: Kyler Murray, Le’Veon Bell, Free Agency

Kyler Murray

  • Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com writes that while many scouts he’s spoken to don’t have a first-round grade on Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray, most think he’ll be selected in round one should he pursue an NFL career. 
  • An executive tells Daniel Jeremiah that Murray will be the biggest story at the Combine: “Murray will be the big story. Will he or won’t he play football? How does he interview with teams? (His) Super Bowl media interviews were a mess. Overall, I think the QB field is wide open. Will one of them separate from the pack? That’s what I’ll be following.

Le’Veon Bell

  • Albert Breer doesn’t think Todd Gurley‘s disappointing end to the season will have a big effect on Le’Veon Bell’s free agent market because he isn’t sure Bell was going to get the kind of payday he’s been seeking all along. 
  • A report from earlier in the day mentioned that the Steelers are considering transition tagging Bell and attempting to trade him to another team. (NFLTR)
