Patrick Peterson
Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson announced via his Twitter account Monday night that he has been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, not Type 1 as someone apparently alluded to earlier.
According to Peterson, the Cardinals training staff and doctors have helped him get the situation under control and he’s now feeling great.
Buccaneers
Buccaneers HC Lovie Smith confirmed that Doug Martin will remain the team’s No. 1 running back.
“We talked about being able to establish the run,” Smith said via the Tampa Bay Times. “Doug will be the lead guy doing that, so it’s very important that we open up some holes and let him do his thing.”
