Rams

Regarding the possibility signing a long-term extension with the Rams, new WR Brandin Cooks said “it’d be an extreme blessing to be here for the long haul.

“You think about it,” Cooks said, via Alden Gonzalez of ESPN. “It’d be an extreme blessing to be here for the long haul, coming in here to be with a special group of guys. At the end of the day, it’s not something that I’m pressing.

Rams GM Les Snead said Thursday that they’ve had “good dialogue” with DT Aaron Donald regarding an extension and they’ve budgeted for his next contract.

We’ve got good dialogue with their agents. I’ll keep all of that in-house, but none of it affects Aaron Donald,” Snead said, via NFL.com. “He’s one of 53 and as I’ve said plenty of times before, we’ve got that budgeted into the budget. We didn’t do all this and forget about him for sure.”

Saints

  • LSU DE/OLB Arden Key says the Saints have shown “crazy interest” in him up to this point: “Crazy interest. Who Dat! I met with them at the combine. I just met with them yesterday at a dinner. I’ll meet with them Thursday. They’ll have me for a private workout.” (Larry Holder)
  • FSU DE Josh Sweat is scheduled to have a pre-draft visit with the Saints. (Herbie Teope)
  • The Saints had a private workout for Vanderbilt LB Oren Burks last week in Nashville. (Josh Katzenstein)
