NFL Notes: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Giants, Jaguars, & Vikings

Ryan Fitzpatrick

Free agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick mentioned during an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio Monday that he’s still hoping to be back with the Jets in 2016, and is working out in the time being.

“I had a great time with the guys last year and I want to continue doing this,” Fitzpatrick said, via Pro Football Talk. “I’m still preparing for the season. It’s been a process and the good thing about it is the discussions have been behind closed doors.”

Fitzpatrick added paying attention to the other contracts signed by quarterbacks such as Brock Osweiler is enough to “yourself crazy.”

Giants

• Giants veteran CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was not in attendance for the start of voluntary OTAs on Monday. (Jordan Raanan)

Jaguars

• The Jaguars announced that in high school, CB Jalen Ramsey had successful cartilage repair on the medial side of his right knee. (Tiffany Blackmon)
• Jaguars HC Gus Bradley said of Ramsey’s injury: “You couldn’t tell anything on tape and he made it through the workout.” (Ryan O’Halloran)

• A source tells Chris Tomasson that Vikings RB Adrian Peterson plans to be in attendance for the start of OTAs on Tuesday.
