NFL Notes: Redskins, Seahawks, & Texans

Redskins

  • Rich Tandler of CSN Washington expects Redskins RB Matt Jones to average 15-20 carries per game in 2016.
  • Tandler doesn’t consider seventh-round rookie RB Keith Marshall a sure bet to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.

Seahawks

  • According to Bob Condotta, recently acquired UDFA Tani Tupou is working as a fullback at the Seahawks’ rookie minicamp after playing as a linebacker during his college career at Washington.
  • Seahawks HC Pete Carroll indicated that OL Justin Britt could be used as a utility lineman, since he has experience as a guard, tackle and center. (Bob Condotta)
  • Condotta expects a few roster moves to occur in the near future and mentions the quarterback position as a spot to keep an eye on and points to Oregon QB Vernon Adams as an undrafted free agent that the Seahawks could sign.
  • Carroll also said OL Mark Glowinski will convert to left guard, since first-round G Germaine Ifedi was added to play right guard. (Curtis Crabtree)
  • The Seahawks had thid-round pick C.J. Prosise working with the receivers on Saturday. (Aaron Levine)

Texans

  • According to Aaron Wilson, the Texans will not be signing rookie minicamp tryout players Utah St QB Chuckie Keeton, Texas Southern P Cory Carter, or Houston DL Tomme Mark at this point in time.
