NFL Notes: Tim Tebow, Bengals, Chargers, Cowboys & Redskins

Tim Tebow

  • Former Buccaneers GM Mark Dominik mentioned Tuesday he previously called Tim Tebow‘s agent Jimmy Sexton several times, begging Tebow to come play H-Back for Tampa Bay.
  • However, Domink says that Tebow always resisted swtiching from quarterback.

Bengals

  • Paul Dehner Jr. mentions that while the Bengals haven’t been interested in trading backup QB A.J. McCarron up to this point, “every man has his price.

Chargers

Cowboys

Cowboys HC Jason Garrett said Tuesday that LB Sean Lee is dealing with a knee injury and recently underwent an MRI. The good news is that the tests results came back positive for Lee.

“We don’t think it’s long term,” Garrett said, via the Star-Telegram. “He’s making progress to come back and hopefully he’s going to be able to do that sooner rather than later. Any practice he does today will be on a limited basis.”

Redskins

  • John Keim is hearing there’s a “strong chance” rookie RB Keith Marshall (elbow) is placed on injured reserve, but nothing is official as of now.
