NFL Notes: Tom Brady, Dolphins & Ravens

Tom Brady

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the NFL offered to drop Tom Brady‘s four-game suspension by “at least 50 percent” if he admitted guilt in the deflategate situation.

Florio cites a source that the NFL was willing to drop the suspension if Brady: admitted to having knowledge of what actions John Jastremski and Jim McNally had with the footballs, admitted to failing to cooperate with Ted Wells’ investigation, and to apologize for his wrongdoing.

Regardless, Gary Meyers of the New York Daily News reports that a source tells him that the NFL and Brady “never” came close to a settlement deal for a guilty plea, and that there is no chance Brady ever apologizes.

Dolphins

Ravens

  • Aaron Wilson reports that the Ravens worked out TE D.J. Williams, QB Trent Steelman and QB Austin Trainor on Tuesday. None of which have been signed at this point in time.
  • Third-year WR Kamar Aiken has “consistently” lined up ahead of first-round rookie WR Breshad Perriman during spring workouts with the first-team.
