Coming off of a turbulent 2010 season Vincent Jackson could get the chance to sign the longterm contract that he’s been looking for since 2009. The bad news for him is that the NFL has announced that teams will be able to use the franchise following Super Bowl and as of now it appears that Jackson is a prime target for the tag.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter has already mentioned that Jackson is more likely to be “franchised” the signed or let go during the offseason.
If some how the A.J. Smith decides to let Jackson leave town, he’ll be able to secure a longterm deal especially after his end-of-season performance. Interested teams would include the same targets that were mentioned back in August, Seattle, St Louis and Washington but that’s the short list.
