NFL Rumors: Draft, 49ers, Cowboys, Ravens

Draft

  • Adam Schefter spoke to one NFL GM on Tuesday who estimated that there is a “50 percent chance” that four quarterbacks will be selected in first five picks on Thursday.
  • Ian Rapoport reports that N.C. State DE Kentavius Street underwent successful ACL surgery last week and is expected to make a full recovery. In fact, Rapoport adds that Street should still be drafted, despite the major knee injury he recently sustained.
  • According to Tony Pauline, Temple DL Jullian Taylor scheduled last-minute workouts with the Titans, Patriots and Eagles.
  • South Dakota State WR Jake Wieneke is drawing interest from the 49ers, Texans, Jets, Ravens, Vikings, Saints, Panthers, and Dolphins. (Darren Wolfson)

49ers

  • Tony Pauline reports that the 49ers “covet” Virginia Tech LB Tremaine Edmunds and would likely be their pick at No. 9 overall if he’s still available to them.

Cowboys

Ravens

  • Tony Pauline of DraftAnalyst.com reports that Alabama WR Calvin Ridley and DT Da’Ron Payne are both in play for the Ravens at No. 16 overall.
  • According to Pauline, the Ravens are as desperate to come out of the draft with a tight end as some have assumed.
  • Interestingly enough, Pauline says that there’s a belief the Ravens could sign WR Eric Decker to a contract at some point in the near future.
