SI.com’s Peter King reports that the Atlanta Falcons are seriously considering moving all the way up into the top ten to get one of either A.J. Green or Julio Jones.
Considering that Atlanta is sitting at No. 27, a move up into the top ten would require a lot and possibly more than the Falcons have to trade in this years draft. Atlanta would have to make up 720 points just to trade up into the No. 10 spot and the rest of their draft wouldn’t even account for 600 points. The Falcons could add a 2012 first-round pick to the package to get a deal so there are some options available but this would be a costly move and trading away draft picks hasn’t been the recipe for success in recent years.
