NFL Networks draft expert Mike Mayock made an interesting point regarding Julio Jones and A.J. Green‘s draft during a recent segment.
Mayock mentions that two of teams that may consider taking a wide receiver early in the draft are the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns, both of whom run west-coast offenses. Mayocks notes that Julio Jones’s size and skill set translates better in a west-coast scheme than that of A.J. Greens which could lead one of them take Jones over Green in the upcoming draft.
It’s been mentioned that Jones has closed the gap between him and Green after his amazing workout at the NFL Combine. Some teams have already said that they prefer Jones because of his work ethic and durability.
It would still be a little surprising to see a team take Jones over Green but it shouldn’t be a complete shock.
