NFL Rumors: Ronde Barber Returning To Tampa?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris said that cornerback Ronde Barber plans to return to the Buccaneers for the 2011 season.

“He’s playing. Now it’s just a matter of what he’s playing for,” Morris told Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times.   “I’m really confident that he’s playing and I feel great about it.”

Morris even mentioned that he plans to have starting Barber at his old position opposite Aqib Talib.

“It’s just a matter of deciding how much he’s worth and all that,” Morris said.  “But our starting right cornerback will be back. He’ll be our starting right corner as long as he keeps playing at a high level. “

Barber had another solid season in 2010 and has proven to be a valuable asset to young team that’s on the brink of the playoffs.
