Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that no NFL players are believed to have opted out for the 2021 season.
Players had until Friday of last week to do so and Pelissero notes that there were no opt-out related transactions on Tuesday’s report following the holiday weekend.
Last year, 67 players took a high-risk or voluntary opt-out for the 2020 season during the pandemic.
Higher-risk players could have received a $350,000 stipend for opting out this year but voluntary opt-outs would have gotten nothing after getting $150,000 last year.
Rookies were not eligible for voluntary opt-outs this year.
