Cardinals HC Bruce Arians confirmed Monday thatย free agent RB Chris Johnsonย passed his physical.
- However,ย Arians added that they’reย still working on the details of an agreement, per Mike Jurecki.
- According to Arians, any dealย would be up to GM Steve Keim and Johnson’s agent, Joel Segal, per Josh Weinfuss.
- Josina Anderson of ESPNย firstย reported that Johnson hadย passed his physical with the Cardinals.

Cardinals GM Steve Keim mentioned during an interview with Arizona Sports 98.7 onย Monday that there’s “nothing on the horizon” with free agent RB Chris Johnson.
โWe have discussed Chris Johnson for sure, and Iโve had some conversations with his agent, Joel Segal, but thereโs nothing on the horizon to report as of right now,โ Keim said.
- Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported last week that Johnson wasย heading to Arizona on Sunday to take a physical and work out for the Cardinals.
- Dianna Marie Russini of ESPNย previouslyย reported that the Cardinals had offered Johnsonย a one-year contract.
Cardinals HC Bruce Arians expressed some frustration in recent days with the team’s current group of running backs and added that they planned on discussing their available options.
Johnson was, unfortunately, involvedย drive by shooting back in March that took the life of aย close friend who was sitting next to him in a car.
Johnson, 29,ย ran for 663 yards on 155 carries (4.3 YPC) to go along with 24 receptions for 151 yards receiving and two total touchdowns during the 2014 season. Pro Football Focus rated Johnson as the No. 46 running back out of 57 qualifying players.
