John Maffei of NCTimes.com reports that there may actually be 22 NFL teams facing blackout which is a staggering number given the sports current popularity. Ticket sales are set to decline for the third straight year which could be related to a struggling economy.
One way or another, the NFL is facing a cold reality. The experience of seeing a live game is losing to the comforts of our homes.

- Green Bay
- New England
- New Orleans

Declining ticket sales is bound to be one of the leagues talking points during the collective bargaining negotiations at the end of the season.
