Only 10 NFL Teams Have Sold Out Their Home Games

John Maffei of NCTimes.com reports that there may actually be 22 NFL teams facing blackout which is a staggering number given the sports current popularity. Ticket sales are set to decline for the third straight year which could be related to a struggling economy.

One way or another, the NFL is facing a cold reality. The experience of seeing a live game is losing to the comforts of our homes.

Here’s the short list of NFL teams that have sold out their homes games this season:

  • Baltimore
  • Denver
  • Green Bay
  • Indianapolis
  • New England
  • New Orleans
  • Philadelphia
  • Pittsburgh
  • Tennessee
  • Washington

Big markets are not faring as well as smaller established markets like Green Bay and Indianapolis. As surprising as it may seem, there isn’t a single team from California, Texas, or New York on the list. Declining ticket sales is bound to be one of the leagues talking points during the collective bargaining negotiations at the end of the season.
