Field Yates reports that Packers RT Bryan Bulaga (knee) and OLB Nick Perry (hand) will start training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
Bulaga is coming off of a serious knee injury and some have wondered if he could be a potential roster cut, considering his cap figure.
Green Bay reportedly negotiated a pay cut with Bulaga this offseason, but he ultimately declined and talks went nowhere. (NFLTR)
Bulaga, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Packers back in 2010. He’s currently in the fourthย year of his five-year, $33.75 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $5.85 million and $5.8 millionย over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2017, Bulaga has appeared in five games for the Packers and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 39 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.
Perry, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Packers back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract before testing the open market for the first time and eventually returning to Green Bay on a five-year, $60 million contract that included an $18.5 million signing bonus.
Perry stands to make base salaries of $1.9 million and $5.2 million over the next two years.
Green Bay placed him on the season-ending injured reserve due to ankle and shoulder injuries back in December.
In 2017, Perry appeared in 12 games for the Packers and recorded 38 tackles, seven sacks, a forced fumble, and a recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 38 edge defender out of 115 qualifying players.
