Packers RB James Starks Returning This Weekend?

Green Bay Packers RB James Starks was held out of last weekends game against the Raiders but the team didn’t miss him as Ryan Grant ran for two scores. Backup RB Brandon Saine suffered a concussion during the game so they’ll be pretty thin at running back if Starks is unable to play this weekend but head coach Mike McCarthy seems to be optimistic about Starks’s chances of playing.

We’re hoping he can go Wednesday,” said McCarthy, via Packers.com. “They’re going to run him either later today or early tomorrow, and we’ll have more information.”

Even if Starks is able to go it make sense for the Packers to feature more of Grant seeing as he’s the only healthy option that the team currently has.
