Packers Releasing CB Tony Brown

The Green Bay Packers announced that they are releasing CB Tony Brown from their active roster on Saturday.

Brown, 22, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama back in May of last year. He was among Los Angeles’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and signed on with the Packers’ practice squad shortly after.

Green Bay promoted him to their active roster a few weeks after adding him to their taxi squad and made the team’s 53-man roster once again this year.

In 2019, Brown has appeared in nine games and recorded 10 total tackles and no interceptions.
