Packers Tried Out Six Players Including QB Paxton Lynch

The Green Bay Packers brought in six players for workouts on Tuesday including former Broncos QB Paxton Lynch, according to Rob Demovsky.

  1. QB Paxton Lynch
  2. WR Chris Brown
  3. DE Eric Cotton
  4. CB D.J. Killings
  5. CB Trevon Mathis
  6. WR Ka’Raun White

Of this group, the Packers signed Killings and Cotton to their practice squad.

Lynch, 24, was taken with the No. 26 overall pick after the Broncos traded up from No. 31 overall to get him in 2016 NFL Draft. Lynch signed a four-year, $9.4 million contract that includes $7.88 guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $1.31 million this season when the Broncos waived him coming out of the preseason.

He has worked out for several teams since becoming a free agent including the Titans, Seahawks, Jaguars, Bills, Lions, Eagles, Buccaneers, Dolphins and Redskins. 

In 2017, Lynch appeared in two games for the Broncos and completed 66.7 percent of his passes to go along with two touchdowns and three interceptions. He also rushed for 30 yards.
