Packers Working Out Former BYU WR Jonah Trinnaman As Cornerback

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Packers are bringing former BYU WR Jonah Trinnaman for a workout this weekend.

While Trinnaman played receiver in college, Wilson says Green Bay plans to take a look at him as a cornerback.

The Packers have a few open roster spots right now, so the could make an addition before the start of OTAs.

Trinnaman wound up going undrafted out of BYU a few weeks ago. He did, however, sign on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent but was placed on waivers last week.

During his two years at BYU, Trinnaman caught 52 passes for 626 yards receiving (12 YPC) to go along with two rushes for nine yards and one total touchdown over the course of 22 games. He also contributed 345 kick return yards on 18 attempts (19.2 YPA).
