Packers WR Davante Adams Out For Week 5

The Green Bay Packers officially ruled out WR Davante Adams for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.

Adams is dealing with a turf toe injury and while he had a bit of an extended period to get ready for Week 5’s game, it was clear that odds were against him playing.

Adams didn’t practice this week and it remains to be seen whether he’ll return next week.

Adams, 26, is a former second-round pick out of Fresno State by the Packers in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was in the final year of a four-year, $3.933 million rookie contract when the Packers signed him to a four-year extension worth $58 million.

Adams stands to make base salaries of $2.5 million and $12 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2019, Adams has appeared in four games and caught 25 passes for 378 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
