The Carolina Panthers officially placed DT Chas Alecxih and WR Tobais Palmer on injured reserve after they cleared waivers on Wednesday.
- The Panthers also waived DT Roderick Byers with a “Failure to Disclose Physical Condition” designation.
Alecxih, 27, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh backin 2012. He spent one year in Miami before signing a future/reserve deal with the Chiefs.
Kansas City waived Alecxih after a few months, but he wound up being claimed off of waivers by the Chargers. San Diego brought Alecxih back in a future’s deal, but would later cut him loose during the 2015 free agency period.
The Panthers elected to sign him to a contract shortly after last year’s draft and spent the 2015 season on the team’s practice squad. Carolina waived him on Tuesday.
Palmer, 26, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State back in 2013. Heย later had brief stints with the Chargers and Saints before signing a future/reserve deal with the Bills last year.
However, Palmer was unfortunately among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason. The Steelers elected to sign him to a future’s deal back in January before waiving him shortly after this year’s draft.
The Panthers signed Palmer to a contract a few weeks later before waiving him on Tuesday.
In 2013, Palmer appeared in one game, but didn’t record a single statistic.
