Panthers Place S Da’Norris Searcy On Injured Reserve

The Carolina Panthers announced Friday that they’ve placed S Da’Norris Searcy on injured reserve after he suffered two concussions in the span of 30 days.

Searcy, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bills back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract in Buffalo and eventually signed a four-year, $23.75 million deal that included $7 million guaranteed with the Titans in 2015.

Last year, Searcy agreed to a pay cut to be back with the Titans and was set to make a base salary of $3.8 million for the 2018 season when the Titans released him during the offseason.

The Panthers signed Searcy to a two-year deal worth $5.7 million in March.

In 2018, Searcy appeared in two games and recorded five tackles and no interceptions or pass defenses.
