Panthers Sign DL Drew Iddings

The Carolina Panthers have signed DL Drew Iddings to a contract on Friday following a workout, according to Eric Edholm.

Iddings, 24, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of South Dakota back in May of last year. He was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason as the Raiders cut their roster down to 53 players.

Oakland did not add him to their practice squad and he sat out the entire 2016 season. The Saints signed him to a contract close to a month ago and converted him to guard before cutting him loose back in June.

Iddings later worked out for the Jets but left New York without a deal.

During his four-year college career, Iddings recorded 149 tackles, 32 tackles for a loss, five pass defenses, four forced fumbles, two recoveries, and eight sacks over the course of 46 games.
