The Carolina Panthers have officially signed second-round pick S Jeremy Chinn to his rookie contract, according to his agent.

Carolina’s rookie signings continue to trickle in. Chinn is the fifth member of the team’s seven-player class to sign.

Chinn, 22, was a four-year starter at Southern Illinois and was a consensus All-American before being selected by the Panthers with the No. 64 pick in the draft.
He’s projected to sign a four-year, $5,241,473 rookie contract that includes a $1,371,980 signing bonus.
In his four-year career at Southern Illinois, Chinn recorded 243 tackles, one sack, six forced fumbles, 31 pass deflections, and 13 interceptions.
