The New England Patriots announced they signed undrafted S Eric Butler and released DT David Blay Jr. in a corresponding move.
Butler, 23, was a three-star recruit and committed to San Diego State, remaining there for four years. He earned an Honorable Mention for All-Mountain West in 2024.
During his college career, Butler appeared in 48 games and recorded 119 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, nine pass defenses, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, and scored one defensive touchdown.
