Patriots Expected To Sign K Kai Forbath

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Patriots are expected to sign veteran K Kai Forbath to fill in for K Nick Folk, who is out after undergoing surgery for an appendectomy.

Forbath worked out for New England back in October before the team ultimately signed Folk to their active roster.

Forbath, 32, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2011. Forbath had brief stints with the Buccaneers, Redskins, Saints and Vikings before signing on with the Jaguars last December.

Jacksonville released Forbath back in February.

In 2018, Forbath appeared in three games for the Jaguars and converted 4 of 5 field goal attempts (80 percent) to go along with all three extra point attempts.
