Patriots Re-Sign CB Jason McCourty With Two-Year Deal

According to Mike Garafolo, the New England Patriots have re-signed CB Jason McCourty to a two-year contract.

McCourty, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Titans back in 2009. He spent eight years of his career with Tennessee and was in the final year of his six-year, $44.26 million contract when the Titans elected to release him.

The Browns quickly signed McCourty to a two-year, $6 million contract that included $2 million guaranteed. He was set to make a base salary of $625,000 for the 2018 season.

The Browns traded McCourty to the Patriots during the 2018 offseason in exchange for a sixth-round pick.

In 2018, McCourty played in all 16 games for the Patriots, recording 69 total tackles, one interception, one forced fumble and 10 passes defensed.  He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 6 cornerback out of 112 qualifying players.
