The New England Patriots officially released DE Frank Kearse from injured reserve on Thursday with an injury settlement.
Kearse, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2011. However, he lasted just a few months in Miami before he later signed on with the Panthers.
Since then, Kearse has played for the Titans and Cowboys before joining the Redskins on a one-year contract back in May of last year. The Patriots signed him to a one-year contract this past March.
The Patriots placed Kearse on injured reserve this past weekend.
In 2015, Kearse appeared in four games for the Redskins and recorded four tackles and a sack.
