Patriots Sign Third-Round DB Marte Mapu 

The New England Patriots have officially signed third-round DB Marte Mapu to a rookie contract, according to Ian Rapoport.

 

Mapu, 23, was named the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year for Sacramento State in 2022.

He’s projected to sign a four-year, $5,563,705 rookie contract that includes a $1,046,331 signing bonus and will carry a cap figure of $1,011,583 in 2023.

During his four years with the Hornets, Mapu played in 28 games and made 14 starts. He recorded 89 tackles and five interceptions.
