Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Patriots are signing LB Brandon King to a two-year extension on Friday.
Rapoport mentions that King is a core special teamer and important depth option for New England.
King, 25, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in May of 2015. He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts that season but was later signed to their practice squad.
The Patriots brought King back on exclusive rights contracts before signing him to a two-year, $2.6m deal last March.
In 2018, King appeared in 15 games for the Patriots and recorded seven tackles.
