ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported on NFL Insiders that Patriots TE Jake Ballard is in danger of not making team’s final roster.
Mortensen added that Ballard has really struggled during training camp.
Ballard, 25, is coming off of a major knee surgery and has had a hard time practicing thus far. There has been a lot of buzz that he could be in for a big season given the Aaron Hernandez situation and the injury to Rob Gronkowski. Rookie Zach Sudfeld appears to be the guy generating the most interest in training camp and make Ballard expendable.
