The New England Patriots officially placed rookie WR Will Hastings on waivers on Friday.
Doug Kyed reports that the Patriots plan to sign WR Andre Baccellia, who worked out for the team on Friday.
Hastings wound up going undrafted out of Auburn back in April. He later agreed to a three-year, $2.28 million contract with the Patriots.
New England actually cut him loose in July before re-signing him a few days later.
During his college career at Auburn, Hastings caught 56 passes for 845 yards receiving and six touchdowns over the course of three seasons and 28 games.
