Raiders Interviewed Brian Callahan & Tim Rattay For QBs Coach Job

Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com reports the Raiders interviewed former Lions QBs coach Brian Callahan and Louisiana Tech QBs coach Tim Rattay for their QBs coaching position on Thursday.

Last we heard regarding the Raiders’ QBs coach position, HC Jon Gruden and OC Greg Olson had yet to decide whether they were going to hire someone for this role or assume the duties themselves.

Callahan is a popular name right now, as he reportedly has interest from the Titans regarding their offensive coordinator position and could be an option for the Jets and Giants based on recent reports.

Callahan spent six years with the Broncos as their offensive assistant/quarterbacks coach and was a part of the coaching staff that helped them win Super Bowl 50. The Lions later hired him as their QBs coach in 2016 and he’s helped to continue to develop Matthew Stafford the past few years.

We’ll have more regarding Callahan as the news is available.
