Raiders Place WR Rod Streater On Short-Term I.R.

The Oakland Raiders announced Thursday that they have placed WR Rod Streater on the injured reserve with the designated to return.

Streater can return to the practice field in six weeks, but won’t be eligible to return until Week 13.

He has been dealing with a foot surgery and his agent told Bill Williamson earlier today that he would not be back until Week 10 at the earliest, so this move shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

Streater now has screws in his fractured foot. The Week 10 target is a best-case scenario, with missing the entire season still a possibility.

Streater, 26, is in the final year of his contract and will make $570,000 for the 2014 season. He’ll be a restricted free agent following the season.

Over the course of three games, Streater has caught nine passes for 84 yards and a touchdown.
